Car Battery Replacement Delivered to You in OKC
Oklahoma City & Surrounding Areas
Battery Delivery That Includes Installation
Some services deliver a battery to your door and leave the installation to you. That is not what we do. OKC Mobile Auto delivers a new car battery to your location and installs it — the whole package. Our technician arrives with the correct battery for your vehicle, removes the old one, cleans the terminals, installs the new one, tests the entire starting and charging system, and takes the old battery away for recycling. You do not lift a finger.
This matters because battery installation is not as simple as it might seem, especially on newer vehicles. Modern cars have sensitive electronics — engine computers, body control modules, adaptive transmission controllers — that can lose their learned settings when the battery is disconnected. A professional technician knows how to handle this: on some vehicles, we use a memory saver device that maintains power to the electronics during the swap. On others, we know the re-learn procedures to get everything back to normal after installation.
There is also the safety aspect. Car batteries contain sulfuric acid and produce hydrogen gas during charging. A spark near a charging battery can cause an explosion. Proper procedure is to disconnect the negative terminal first and reconnect it last to minimize spark risk. The battery weighs 30 to 50 pounds and needs to be secured properly in the tray — a loose battery bouncing around under the hood can cause a short circuit or acid leak. These are things a professional handles without thinking about them, but they are real risks for a DIY installation in your driveway.
How the Delivery Process Works
Step one: call us at (405) 295-0635. We ask for your vehicle year, make, model, and engine size. This takes about a minute and tells us exactly which battery group size you need. Step two: we quote you a total price — service call plus the specific battery for your car. No surprises, no hidden fees. You know exactly what you are paying before we dispatch.
Step three: we dispatch a technician with the battery. Depending on your location in the OKC metro and how busy we are, arrival time is typically 30 to 45 minutes. Closer locations (central OKC, Moore, Midwest City) are often faster. Step four: the technician arrives, tests your existing battery to confirm it needs replacement, and proceeds with the swap. The full process — diagnostic, removal, cleaning, installation, and system test — takes about 20 minutes.
Step five: you are driving again. The whole thing, from your initial phone call to being back on the road, usually takes under an hour. Compare that to the tow-and-shop route (3-4 hours minimum, plus tow charges), or the buy-it-yourself-and-install-it approach (trip to the auto parts store, hoping they have the right battery, figuring out installation, and then finding somewhere to recycle the old one). Our delivery-and-install service is faster, easier, and when you factor in tow charges and shop labor rates, often cheaper too.
Delivery Coverage and Pricing
We deliver and install batteries across the entire Oklahoma City metropolitan area. That includes OKC proper, Edmond, Moore, Norman, Midwest City, Del City, Yukon, Mustang, Bethany, Warr Acres, The Village, Nichols Hills, Spencer, Choctaw, and Harrah. If you can point to it on a map of the metro area, we can probably get there. If you are on the fringe and not sure, call and ask — we will let you know.
Service hours are 9 AM to 9 PM, seven days a week. We operate on weekends and most holidays because batteries do not take days off. Same-day delivery is available for most calls, though scheduling a specific time slot is also an option if your situation is not urgent. A lot of customers notice their battery is getting weak (slow cranking in the morning) and call to schedule a replacement for later that day or the next morning. Smart move — you get to choose the time and place instead of letting the battery choose for you.
Pricing is straightforward. The service call starts at $99, which covers our trip to your location, diagnostic testing, professional installation, terminal cleaning and anti-corrosion treatment, and disposal of the old battery. The battery itself is priced separately based on your vehicle needs. Standard passenger car batteries (Group 35, 48, 51R) typically run $120 to $165. Truck and SUV batteries (Group 65, 78) are usually $150 to $200. AGM batteries for vehicles that require them range from $180 to $280. We will tell you the exact total before we head out.
