If you are in a particularly dangerous spot — a narrow highway shoulder, a curve with limited visibility, or a bridge or overpass — we may recommend getting the car to a safer nearby location before performing the replacement. In some cases, a jump start can get the car running long enough to move it to a parking lot, gas station, or wider pull-off area.
